Wind...

My prayer:

Today did its best to chew me up and spit me out. Thank you for your strength and peace throughout the assault. I am so grateful that I had you to turn to all day.

And now that I have been talking all day and you in your wonderfulness have been listening all day, it is time to switch it around. What do you want to talk about? I am here to listen.

What God Said Tonight:

The wind that blows can bring in the storm or it can take it away. The wind's purpose is to move things.We do not blame the wind for the storm and we do not give it credit when the storm passes. It is the vehicle for change.

There are things in your life right now that you may not enjoy but they are the vehicle for your change. They will not last. Once they have blown in the change and blown out the old, the vehicle will be gone.

Don't get hung up on the vehicle. Recognize it for its purpose.

Changes...

My prayer:

Wow God, when you decide that is a season of change, you really mean it! Change is happening around me so fast I can barely keep up. I can't wait to see what you are going to do next! Whatever it is, I am here to ride it out with you, in awe.

What God Said Tonight:

Change is good and change is needed.

I have many things that will never change. My love for you will never change. My commitment to you will never change. My redemption and reconciliation for you will never change.

But, the circumstances of your life and of the world, those I will change. Those need to change to move into the next season of your destiny. I will always bring you to the same outcome, victory. But, I will always use a different way to get you there.

You will see that the method is not important. I am what is important.

Be demanding...

My prayer:

Another Friday night in your presence. I am blessed. I can't wait to hear your voice.

What God Said Tonight:

Healing is the children's bread. I said that once and it is true. Healing is a necessary sustenance in the life of my children.

At the time, it was a reason I gave to a woman of why I would not heal her. Her response, filled with faith, changed my mind.

I am moved by the faith of people who believe. I am moved by people who refuse to hear  "no." I am moved by people who demand the blessing in their life. Not because they deserve it but because they are tenacious and won't live with less than what I have.

Demand more of me in your life. I will give it to you.

Cement...

My prayer:

God, I thank you for inspiration and praise reports! This has been a week of joy, reawakening, good news, and inspiration for the future. I have missed this. It has been too long since I truly felt inspired. It feels like life and light coming back into my life.

Thank you! I can't wait to see where this journey leads.

What God Said Tonight:

Cement is a funny thing. While it is liquid, it flows in and over things. It is shapeable and moldable. You can really make it into anything you want.

Then, after time, it hardens into the shape it has last been left in. That hardened cement is solid and seems permanent. It is unmoveable and grabs onto everything it touches. It seems quite permanent; however, given the right force or the right tool, you can break it. You can chip it down into rubble. That rubble, while not as malleable as the liquid form, it is moveable and shapeable. Keep pounding at the rubble and it become dust. Dust is even more moveable than liquid. Dust can fly.

It is a lot like you. When you were young, you were able to flow into new ideas and new opportunities. You were malleable and you got into everything. Over the years, you hardened. Became less able to move, change and flow into new places. Eventually, you grabbed onto everything around you with a iron claw.

But, this last season was a season of chipping away at your cement. We broke it into rubble and now into dust. There is no stopping dust. It goes absolutely everywhere.

Get ready to seek and find every opportunity. I love you.

Live from the heart...

My prayer:

Awesome God. My mind is a blank tonight. Shocking I know! Me with no thoughts, no questions and no words! Maybe tonight I need to just listen to you...

What God Said Tonight:

I have seen the desires of your heart and I have every intention of seeing them fulfilled. Out of the heart, the mouth speaks and your words are reflecting the healing changes in your heart.

A whole heart, a healed heart, finds joy in other people's happiness. A whole heart finds time to bless other people. A healthy heart can hear criticism and look for the truth in it. A whole heart never runs out of capacity to love.

Your heart, is healing and becoming whole. You will see great changes in you and the world around you when it is done.

Until then, live from your heart. Trust your heart. I have given it to you as a weather vane to detect the direction of the wind in your life.

Circumstances...

My prayer:

Thank you for your favor and for bringing me through today. It was actually much less dramatic than I envisioned. I guess that is true of most things in life. The worry that I have over them far outweighs the reality of them.

What God Said Tonight:

All things work together for your good. You are my child and you are my love. My plans for you are not in question.

I am glad that you strive to learn from each situation. Know that I will always use the circumstances of life to help teach you and grow you.

But don't get confused in the source of the circumstance. Some things just happen. Are there reasons? Yes, but often they are so complicated and go so far back that knowing the reason would cause you more confusion than peace.

Knowing the source of the circumstance has nothing to do with how I can use the  circumstance. Always trust that I will turn it for your good and live in the peace that only I can bring.

Dirt...

My prayer:

Awesome God. Thank you for recovery today and the luxury of rest.

I ask for your favor tomorrow. I am walking into unfamiliar territory and without your favor, it could go very badly. I pray and ask that you go with me and work all things to my good, like you always do.

Thank you for being my Dad and taking care of me!

What God Said Tonight:

Dirt, in its own environment, is not a bad thing. It is not something you need to clean up.

When dirt is outside in its environment of the ground, it is perfectly appropriate. The only time you want to get rid of dirt is when it is outside of its environment. When the dirt get's in the house, when the dirt gets on your clothes, when the dirt is out of place, you need to get rid of it.

There are many things like that  in life. In the right environment, they are normal and natural and not something you want to get rid of of but in the wrong environment, you have to get them out.

Keep that in mind as you meet the challenges of this week. Don't waste time trying to move things and people out of environments that they were made for. It does them and you no good. Recognize the environment that best matches the person and help them find it.
